The facilitators work in or with schools like yours, have been extensively trained, are highly experienced, and understand the context within which your school operates. The workshops have been designed so that they can be delivered digitally and physically. Participation includes workshop notes and a certificate of achievement. The whole CTT series offers 22 different instructional activities, empowering teachers to maintain learning and assessment in any context.

    • 9:05 Digital Technologies9:05 - 11:30How do I use digital resources to support my teaching? Digital technologies are tools that enable learners to access a wealth of up-to-date digital resources, collaborate locally and globally, curate existing material, and create new material. They include electronic devices and tools that manage and manipulate information and data. Technology supports learning and should be integrated meaningfully into the delivery of a lesson. In this highly interactive 2-hour workshop, we will discuss the importance of incorporating digital technology and how to do so in the classroom.Speakers: Assia Post Bouzidi, Tafadzwa Mukahadzi

    • 11:30 Water Break11:30 - 12:00Snack time!

    • 12:00 Learner-Centred Approach12:00 - 14:00How can I structure my lessons in a way that is clear, easy to follow, and in alignment with effective teaching approaches? A learner-centred approach to teaching focuses on how students learn (process), not just on what they learn (content). Active learning encourages students to take responsibility for their learning and supports them in becoming independent and confident learners both in school and beyond. In this highly interactive 2-hour workshop, we will discuss the importance of the learner-centred approach and what it looks like in the classroom.Speakers: Assia Post Bouzidi, Ratidzo Mugonondi

    • 14:00 Lunch Break14:00 - 14:30Recharging our batteries

    • 14:30 Formative Assessment14:30 - 16:00How do I know if I’m teaching effectively and my learners are progressing? Formative assessment is any activity that provides students with developmental feedback on their progress during the learning process, informing the teacher on the next steps for instruction. It is a continuous process that takes place throughout a lesson, thereby providing guidance and feedback for subsequent teaching and learning. In this highly interactive 2-hour workshop, we will discuss the importance of Formative assessment and what it looks like in the classroom.Speakers: Tafadzwa Mukahadzi

    • June 5, 2022
    • 9:00 Inclusive Education9:00 - 11:00How do I overcome barriers to learning and provide language support? Inclusive education makes learning accessible for all students. Inclusion is an effort to make sure all students receive whatever specially designed instruction and support they need to succeed as learners. An inclusive approach identifies existing barriers that limit access to learning, then finds solutions and strategies to remove or reduce those barriers. In this highly interactive 2-hour workshop, we will discuss the importance of incorporating inclusive practices and how to do so in the classroom.Speakers: Tafadzwa Mukahadzi

    • 11:00 Water Break11:00 - 11:30Snack time!

    • 11:30 Differentiated Instruction11:30 - 13:30Differentiation is a challenge. How do I support individual students’ learning needs in a group setting? Differentiated instruction is the adaptation of classroom tasks and activities for different ability levels, which enables all learners to achieve their highest potential. When instruction is differentiated, it allows a teacher to stretch and challenge all learners in their classroom. Instruction becomes more learner-centred and increasingly more individualised. In this highly interactive 2-hour workshop, we will discuss the importance of differentiating instruction and what it looks like in the classroom.Speakers: Tafadzwa Mukahadzi
